The South Central High School held "Serve for Life" on Thursday, October 1 at the Lady Cougars Volleyball game. There were many participants hoping to get the chance to serve the volleyball to win one of many donated prizes from free pizzas to $50 savings bonds. A special thank you goes out to all the local businesses who donated: Farina Market, St. Peter Market, Midland States Bank of Farina, Ellen's Family Dining, Salem Bowl, Putters Paradise, Jackie's Hair & Nails, Carolyn's Flowers & Gifts, Green/Line Equipment, First State Bank of St. Peter, and the South Central Booster Club. By the end of the evening, the FBLA had raised $266.00 to donate to the March of Dimes. The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. They are dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality.
